Exhibition Play Starts Well

On Wednesday night the 2010-2011 edition of the Sailors began their exhibition schedule in Kincardine with a 7-5 win. With a short bench, the coaching staff had plenty of opportunity to evaluate the squad, which was nearly all first-year players. Veterans Brandon Dykxhoorn, Ben Sloetjes, and Tyler Million contributed with 3 goals and and assist between them. Josh Martel and Joey McLay each score twice, with Martel, Dylan Bedard, Evan Rivett, and Nick Laporte picking up helpers. The Sailors are in action again on Saturday with another exhibition tilt against the Bulldogs, game time is 2:30 pm at the Goderich MRC.
